HD and 4K
HD streams arrive at 720p or 1080p; 4K has four times the pixels of 1080p. Services adjust quality to match your connection, and 4K usually needs about 25 megabits a second and a premium plan.
HDR
HDR, in its HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision forms, adds brighter highlights and deeper colour. Recent spectacles such as Avatar: The Way of Water, Blade Runner 2049 and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse are often offered with it.
Check your setup
For 4K and HDR, the television, the streaming device, the app plan and the HDMI cable should all support it. The service's playback settings show the quality you are getting.
A steady connection
A wired connection or a strong Wi-Fi signal keeps the stream at its highest quality through the whole film.
